Editorial rules

Four rules decide what appears on a page here: a figure needs a public source, a source needs a date, a field with no source stays blank with a reason, and nothing is written from an experience the desk has not had. This page sets out all four, and what they rule out.

Where the figures come from

We print a figure only when a public document carries it. For a licence, that document is the UK Gambling Commission register, and the account number goes on the page so the same search takes a reader under a minute. For a welcome offer, the wagering and the minimum deposit, it is the operator’s own terms page on the day it was read, and the date is printed with the figure. For a rule, it is the statutory instrument or the provision number in the licence conditions and codes of practice — named, so it can be looked up rather than taken on trust.

Where two sources disagree, the operator’s own published terms win over a secondary listing, and the page says which one it used. Where the only source is a listing that does not publish the terms beside the figure, the page says that too.

What we never write

The desk does not open gambling accounts, does not deposit money and does not request withdrawals, so nothing on this site is written from that kind of experience. A line that claims the cashier was used on a visit, or that puts a stopwatch on a payout from the inside, would be untrue here, and a reader has no way of telling an invented claim of that kind from a real one. The method is therefore stated from the source instead: what the register says, what the terms say, and on which date.

Two more things are never written. An outcome promised in advance, in any wording: GB advertising rules prohibit it, and a casino game has no outcome anyone can promise. And a figure with no published source — a payout speed, an RTP by game, a complaint volume — which is left out as a blank field with a reason rather than estimated.

Dates and corrections

Every page carries the date it was last read against its source, and that date is a fact about the reading, not a decoration: a page re-dated without being re-read would make the whole set worthless. An offer that has changed since that date is wrong on this site until the next reading, which is why the date is printed where a reader can see it before acting on the figure.

Corrections are made on the page itself rather than in a note somewhere else, because the wrong figure is what gets read. Anything out of date goes to the desk address, and the fastest report to act on is the page address plus the figure that no longer matches.

Brands, commission and order

Casino links on this site are affiliate links, and the disclosure stands on every page that carries one. Commission has no part in the order of a list: the criteria are published on how we rate, every brand is recorded against the same points, and a point with no public source is marked as not published rather than counted against the brand.

Older pages are not deleted when an operator leaves the market. They stay as a record of what they said on their date, with the licence status as it stands now, because other sites still link to them and a dead address answers nobody.

i-phonecasino.co.uk editorial

Written and maintained by the i-phonecasino.co.uk desk. Licence status comes from the UK Gambling Commission public register; bonus figures, wagering and withdrawal rules come from the operator’s own published terms, read on the dates printed beside each figure. Where a number is not published, this site leaves the field out rather than estimating it.
